Self-payment of products in establishments, without having to go to checkout. 5G empowered physical retail store digitalization using standard NTT Data Grab-and-Go Solution which enables cashier-less customer shopping experience. Hardware procurement (5G cameras, MEC / servers) constituted the major challenge due to the significant delays in the supply chain. Additionally, ensuring adequate visual computing model training was more difficult with the distributed project team setting.
