Stations are becoming mobility hubs with the help of digital technologies such AI and digital twin. Adif has promoted the first proof of concept in Europe of intelligent navigation based on the 5G+ network and Artificial Intelligence (AI). This PoC launches a tool that improves traveller experience, facilitating their mobility in railway stations through digitalization of the information.

Mobility managers are required to optimize and monetize their spaces, facilitate operational management (people and device flows) and increase security. Understand the use of stations by passengers to improve services such as information, commerce or security. How people move inside the stations is key to take design and maintenance decisions as well as for commerce and security in the stations. NTT Data has used various tracking technologies managed by a cloud computing platform and Orange has provided connectivity through a private communications network over its 5G+ network. This allows the images to be transmitted in real time to the Edge server of the receiving datacentre, ensuring fast and accurate transmission of this data.
